The Municipality of Pedreguer is located in the province of Alicante, within the Valencian Community. With a population of approximately 8,000 inhabitants, the municipality is distinguished by its cultural and heritage wealth, reflected in its festivities, architecture and community activities.

Pedreguer is located at the foot of the Gran Mountain, on a fertile plain surrounded by mountains such as Montgó and Peña del Perro Flaco. Throughout its history, it has been an important agricultural centre, especially known for the production of raisins. Today, the municipality combines tradition and modernity, with an economy focused on the service sector and a strong commitment to its environment.

The Municipality actively promotes citizen participation through various local, national and European projects. Among its most notable lines of work is the promotion of inclusion through sport with initiatives such as municipal basketball schools, which seek to encourage children and young people to take up sport, strengthen teamwork values and guarantee equal opportunities for all residents of the municipality.

At Pedreguer, we are responsible for leading both WP1, which involves the coordination and general management of the Equal project, and WP3, which involves pilot proposals and implementation.
